Diesel Engine Maintenance

Diesel Services at Horizon Automotive Service Center

At Horizon Automotive Service Center, we offer specialized maintenance services for diesel trucks and jeeps, including those from GM, Chevy, Dodge, Ford, and others. Our technicians are experts in handling diesel engines, focusing on popular systems such as Duramax, Power Stroke, and Cummins. We're committed to ensuring your vehicle performs at its best, backed by our comprehensive knowledge and experience with diesel technology.

Cooling and Lubrication Systems
To prevent costly diesel engine repairs in the future, it's essential to maintain your diesel engine's cooling system effectively. Ensuring efficient cooling and lubrication in high-performance Duramax, Power Stroke, and Cummins diesel engines is the key to extending the lifespan of vital components such as glow plugs, injectors, and turbos.

Glow Plug Replacement
In all weather conditions and road scenarios, your truck or jeep relies on its glow plug to generate the necessary heat and electrical resistance for engine ignition. We offer the ideal glow plug options for Duramax, Power Stroke, and Cummins diesel engines, including DieselRX, NGK, and more!

Injectors and Turbos
Since 1958, Horizon Automotive Service Center has been recognized as Grand Junction's premier diesel repair facility. We specialize in rejuvenating worn-out, high-performance injectors and turbos within GM, Chevy, Dodge, and Ford trucks. These components are prone to generating unwanted noise or expelling excessive exhaust. A failing injector can lead to poor fuel economy, glow plug complications, and reduced performance, impacting your truck or jeep both on and off the road.

Jeep and Truck Diesel Exhaust Repair
For any diesel truck or jeep, the exhaust system plays a crucial role in directing exhaust gasses away from the internal combustion engine and dispersing them into the atmosphere. This system can be customized to enhance engine performance, modify muffler sound, or reduce emissions. Regular maintenance is crucial to optimizing your diesel GM, Chevy, Dodge, or Ford truck or Jeep's exhaust system.

I had a check engine light come on that told me the DEF and exhaust system was not performing properly and might result in performance & MPG issues. Sarah set me up with an appointment within 2 days. Brian and his crew fixed the problem in a few hours at a VERY reasonable rate and I was on my way. I highly recommend Horizon Automotive.

Driving through Grand Junction, on a long road trip, our car developed a brake problem. Brian Burford, the owner of the shop, met us personally, diagnosed the problem immediately, ordered the part and had it delivered to the shop, and installed it right away. He had us back on the road in the shortest possible time, and charged a very reasonable fee. I can't recommend this shop highly enough. Thanks Brian for your outstanding customer service!

We stopped by this fantastic repair shop unexpectedly during our cross-country trip due to a car issue. The team there went above and beyond to diagnose the problem, which turned out to be a manufacturer's defect. We were truly impressed by their honesty, kindness, and professionalism. This is exactly the kind of reliable service I wish we had back home. A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff for making us feel so well taken care of. You really helped put our minds at ease!
